A Malaysian Utopia

The year is 2032. It is the 10th anniversary of the end of Covid-19. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we actually got through the pandemic. What happened? Well the whole world finally managed to gain herd immunity by taking the vaccine, and like the Spanish flu, measles and polio. The virus just disappeared. The people were perplexed. What the scientists said was true all along! The vaccines did work! Don't get me wrong, many of those who declined the vaccine died, but I guess that's just natural selection at work. There were no more antivax.

We still don't know what caused the disease, whether it was spread naturally as the scientist claimed from bats to people. Or if it was a man-made virus, one that was dabbled in to get ahead of the curve in the medical world but was accidentally released as the biggest fuck up of the century. Or if it was all a grand scheme by the hidden powers that control the countries in chase of global domination. We still don't know. What we know for sure though is that there are no 5G chips embedded in our shoulders when we got the vaccine.

Many remembers the pandemic as one of the hardest times in recent history. In a country that has had peace for many decades like Malaysia, the pandemic really showed tough times to the people. Thousands of people died, not only directly from the virus, but also indirectly. Where people faced enormous mental stress having to stay locked up at home, while the ministers flaunt their power by going overseas and basically pissing on the fiery rage of the people. The pandemic showed one crucial piece to the people: a revolution is needed.

Leaders like Muhiyasin, Azli Amin, Ahbam Bada at the time really exposed the government. Malaysians now could see that these people that has been at the helm of power for decades are not actually working for the people, but working to fill their pockets. The people were sick of the oppression and censorship. They were almost becoming dictator-like, following the steps of Communist China by silencing feeble social media posts that dare to criticize their glaring weaknesses. While they were busy building their nest egg while in power, the people have had enough. "Once the pandemic is over, all these bastards will be kicked out of office." The people repeated this phrase like a mantra, promising that they will never be fooled by greedy politicians again. And that is exactly what happened...
